about
Paul Guillaume holds a BFA from Indiana University, an MFA from Tufts/The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and an M.Ed. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. A New Orleans native, Guillaume creates multi-media works that merge photography, painting, and projection to explore themes of the altered landscape and the historical and family archive. Through distinctive technical processes, he develops layered compositions that examine the intersection of personal memory and collective experience, transforming traditional photography into visual narratives that challenge conventional boundaries. Currently based in Las Vegas, Guillaume teaches at a middle school fine arts magnet program, where he integrates his artistic practice with arts education. His work has been acquired by the South Bend Civil Rights Heritage Center and appears in private collections.
